Because our Youth shall be the next Envi­ron­men­tal Stewards

HTLA mak­ing rain bar­rels with stu­dents at the Envi­ron­men­tal Char­ter High School in Lawndale.

We believe, by edu­cat­ing kids and our local com­mu­nity about our water sources and how to con­serve, we can teach them to become very effec­tive agents of change. We try to meet every oppor­tu­nity to edu­cate stu­dents about the water issues fac­ing our region and strate­gies to help con­serve. Through­out the years we given hands on demon­stra­tions on how to install a sim­ple and inex­pen­sive rain bar­rel sys­tem for rain­wa­ter har­vest­ing. Often we team up with other orga­ni­za­tions such as Gen­er­a­tion Earth, of Treepeople.
