About

Hey!Tanks LA was started in 2008 from a desire to more intelligently and collectively manage Southern California’s scarce water resources. Los Angeles has a long history of droughts and water shortages. Our water infrastructure was created over a century ago, when the population was less than 500,000 residents. Today, that count has grown to over 10,000,000! As our population continues to grow, we will need to adopt new strategies to meet our water demands. Fortunately, we do not need to re-invent the wheel. Rainwater harvesting has been practiced all over the world for thousands of years. It is a safe and reliable way to keep your garden green, while reducing your ecological footprint.

Our Mission

To provide rainwater harvesting and greywater reuse information, system plans, materials, and services to residents, the public sector and businesses in Los Angeles and surrounding communities.
